There are ongoing plans to extend the Circle Line to cover even more areas, making it an ever-evolving and integral part of Singapore’s public transport infrastructure. It also alleviates congestion on other lines by distributing passenger flow more evenly. The Circle Line significantly reduces travel time by providing a quicker alternative to circumvent the central areas instead of passing through them.
It uses various colours to differentiate between intersecting lines and employs universally recognized symbols to indicate important features like interchanges or disabled access. The stations are strategically located to serve key community centres, business districts, and schools. It facilitates the transit needs of both the central and outlying regions, providing connections to existing East-West, North-South, and North-East lines.
The Circle Line in Singapore spans over 35 kilometres and has 30 stations.
